6th grade artists are putting the finishing touches on their dynamic abstract circle paintings. This unit of study works with our STEAM project-based learning study called Project H2O. Students examined water samples under microscopes, learned about artist John Sabraw who uses polluted water from the Ohio River Valley to create art, and then explored tints and shades of color to develop rich contrasting images.
This week students will take their painting and create digital images to make a water conservation poster on the computers. Stay tuned for more pictures!
