Our art club spent Sunday bring some holiday cheer to local businesses! The morning was chilly, but the afternoon heated up to a creative wonderland!

Our students worked for three days sculpting three-dimensional clay creatures. We studied alien poetry, looked at evidence from the Roswell incident in 1947, and used our creativity to imagine what aliens could possibly look like! The clay is drying and we look forward to adding color next week! I have been overwhelmed with my many duties and have neglected one of my favorite things...hanging art work! Here is our students' work about the Day of the Dead, a Hispanic celebration in early Novemeber celebrating people's ancestors. We used cardboard to create a relief sculpture and then added designs using complementary color schemes! |
