The first graders add the last touch of black Sharpie adding details drawing emphasis to their shotgun style houses. These brightly painting Popsicle stick creations will be a perfect for our annual art show...February 6, 2014!!! Mark your calendars! The art helpers started our third mural at Alcova! It is a colorful quote to brighten our hallways while our school is building a new addition. "We are not what we know, but what we are willing to LEARN." Our 3rd grade artist have finished their New Orleans inspired art. We studied George Rodrigue, a local Cajun artist, and his Blue Dog! Check out the oh so many faces of our Blue Dogs. We have a clown, a patriot, an Indian, a surfer girl, cute and cuddly dogs, an astronaut, and a referee! Can you spot all these Blue Dogs? Our 5th grade students are adding black silouette musicial instruments to their abstract paintings! Can you hear the jazz music popping of the page?!?
